Swimming Lessons for Gr. 4 & 6

Fountain Park Rec. Centre is offering a new way of doing School Swimming lessons. Due to the short time they have with the children, they have come up with a new way of teaching school swim lessons, these skills will be based on the Lifesaving Society swim lessons.
*Day 1 the instructors will put the children through a skill-based swim evaluation,
splitting them into 3 different Swimmer levels.
*These changes will enable a larger percentage of students to achieve success at their current skill level, by providing an opportunity to practice and polish their skills & strokes.
*Shifting the scope of the program for these levels, more will be accomplished in the condensed school lesson format.
*The daytime instructors, hold a current Swim & Lifesaving Instructor certification, will indicate what level to put your child into at the end of the lesson set, if you where to register into regular lessons.
To aide in the process of placing your child we ask that you send a COPY of the last report card your child has received.
